Solo system

A quantitative trading-research system that scans stocks and crypto and pushes buy/sell/hold calls to Telegram. Short- and long-term engines for each market cross technical indicators, news sentiment and fundamentals, size positions with volatility-scaled half-Kelly, and score every call against what the price did next. Runs 24/7 as a daemon since March 2026 and is still being built — 32K lines of Python behind 29K of tests.

Problem
A trading call for someone who cannot read a chart: every buy, sell or hold has to rest on more than one signal, and say why in plain words.
Constraint
Free market data only, no paid feeds. The AI runs through the Claude Code CLI as a subprocess. One process on a Mac, kept alive by launchd.
Decision
Short- and long-term engines for stocks and crypto cross technicals, news sentiment and fundamentals. Positions sized by volatility and half-Kelly. Every call is logged and scored at 1, 3, 7 and 14 days.
Outcome
Running unattended since March 2026: 400 commits, 32K lines of Python and 29K of tests. Every week it scores its own calls, registers a bet on each stop, and says what to do in plain words. Often: nothing.
